Specialised Concrete for Airports and Roads

Compaction Load Distribution Subbase

PanU CTB® (Cement-Treated Base) is a flexible, stabilised underlayer of special concrete that is placed below the pavement surface to cushion the impact of heavy loads such as aircraft landings. It reduces wear and tear, and lengthens the lifespan and service intervals of airport runways, taxiways and highway roads.

Applications

  • Airport runways and taxiways

  • Highway, roads and pavements

  • Car parks

Advantages

  • Stronger and more durable than a conventional unstabilised aggregate base

  • Landing impact of the vehicle or aircraft wheel load is evenly spread over the sub-base

  • Reduces pavement cracking

  • Longer service life

  • Minimal maintenance

  • Reduces downtime during repairs

  • Very stable during wetting and drying cycles
